Tour Plan

1 Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and a global icon. Truly a feat of engineering, the building represents the conceptual heart and soul of the city of Dubai.

At 828m tall, this magnificent structure is located next to Dubai Mall and has drawn visitors from all over the world since opening in 2010. The unmatched Burj Khalifa view can be taken in from not one but two observations decks – the two-storey At the Top on the 124th and 125th floors, as well as one of the world’s highest observation decks (555m) on the 148th floor.

Views from Burj Khalifa

For a truly special time, visitors can choose to dine in the restaurant and lounge Atmosphere on the 122nd floor, or experience new heights at The Lounge, Burj Khalifa, which is spread across floors 152, 153 and 154, making it the tallest lounge on the planet.

The towering structure is based on an abstraction of the Hymenocallis flower, and is essentially three sections arranged around a central core. Viewed from above, it is consistent with the onion-dome design frequently found across a variety of Islamic architecture.

Burj Khalifa ticket prices and booking information

At the Top, Burj Khalifa tickets start at AED179 for adults and AED145 for children between three and eight years, with entry timings between 9am and 10pm. You can also further explore engaging experiences, like a three-course set menu at The Burj Club with rooftop access from AED259 or fountain tours from AED20 – which also allow for mesmerizing views of the Burj Khalifa at night. We will also purchase tickets to the observation decks onsite for you.

Nearby hotels, restaurants and attractions

Around the base of the mighty tower, you will find a vibrant hub of entertainment and dining, featuring Dubai Mall, the choreographed musical Dubai Fountain and a plethora of tourist attractions to keep you and the fellow swarms of admirers busy. Whether you choose to entertain your family at The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo or the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink, or head to one of the many restaurants in the mall or in any of the nearby hotels, you’ll find something to satisfy your palate. You can opt for chic French-Mediterranean cuisine at La Maison Ani or Asian hotspot Din Tai Fung within the mall, or make your way to Souk Al Bahar to try amazing spots like Italian concept Serafina or select from homegrown options at Time Out Market. Some of the many hotels dotted within the vicinity of Burj Khalifa – other than the Armani Hotel within the building of course – are the likes of the five-star Kempinski Central Avenue Dubai, Address Downtown Dubai, Palace Downtown, The Heritage Hotel, Autograph Collection, among others. There’s also the opportunity to catch a world-class show at the purpose-built entertainment venue that is the Dubai Opera just steps away.

3 Dubai Mall

Dubai Mall is the world’s largest destination for shopping, entertainment and leisure, located next to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Featuring over 1,200 retail stores, two major department stores and hundreds of food and beverage outlets, Dubai Mall covers more than 1 million sqm – an area equivalent to 200 football pitches.

For lovers of high fashion, over 70 signature outlets beckon your attention, including retailers such as Bloomingdale’s and Galeries Lafayette, the first in the Middle East. For haute couture, head to Fashion Avenue where you can experience the latest collections from world renowned designers and brands such as Versace, Burberry and more.

5 The Dubai Fountain

The fountains come to life every 30 minutes from 6pm until 11pm daily. And for a limited time, you can also catch afternoon shows at 1pm and 1:30pm from Saturday to Thursday as well as 2pm and 2:30pm on Fridays. The colourful, illuminated jets sway in time to a range of melodies, which will leave you spellbound. Some popular tracks include Michael Jackson's Thriller, Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman's Time to Say Goodbye and Power by Korean pop band EXO.

6 Summer desert safari in Dubai

Desert adventures can be enjoyed all year long in Dubai but a summer safari offers an appeal all of its own. For one thing, it’s cooler in the middle of the desert during the evenings than it is in the city. This explains why Bedouin tribes have successfully navigated desert summers for centuries, and why many locals pitch tents in the desert all through the season.

The Bedouins have a few summer survival secrets that are handy to know, which many desert safari operators have used to adapt their offering. This includes desert tents being set up atop a dune in order to make the most of cooling breezes. Timing, of course, is key: most safaris are scheduled in the late afternoon through evening. To combat the residual heat, it also helps to dress in light clothes and drink lots of water.

The sense of adventure begins once the highway tarmac is replaced by sand, at which point the drivers deflate the car’s tyre pressure, allowing it to drive on the soft surface without sinking in. This allows visitors to enjoy a thrilling roller coaster-like off-roading experience that usually winds down around sundown, coinciding with the chance to snap incredible sunset photos.

7 Dubai Miracle Garden

Don't miss the Guinness World Record-breaking rendition of an Airbus A380 superjumbo aircraft. The garden teamed up with Emirates Airline for the centrepiece – covered in more than 500,000 fresh flowers and living plants. Another vibrant display is the new Smurfs Village where fans of all ages can meet the brilliantly-blue characters in landscape arrangements across four immersive zones.

The stunning 'floating lady’ dressed in exotic blooms is a must-see too, as well as a walking track that features daily entertainment, including parades, street performers and other family-friendly activities. The dazzling Butterfly Garden is another essential stop, housing 15,000 butterflies in ten custom-built domes. Make sure you plan ahead as the park typically closes during the summer in order to renovate and install new exhibits.
